Nell, Kath, Anna and your family,
I was so fortunate to spend so much time with your parents and you all growing up. So much laughter surrounded their house just as it continues to flow in yours now. Janet was your rock, always showing so much love and compassion to you all. Her eyes shined almost as brightly as her beautiful white hair. I loved to hear her talk about her youth and listening to her and zinc sitting around the table laughing. She always had the kindest things to say to me and I felt like she was my second mom throughout my adolescence. Driving by the laundry mat on Saturdays you would be sure to see the old red escort being loaded up so I would swing in just to say hi and to catch a peek of which cute little jumper she was wearing. Even after I moved away, I loved to stop in and hear her say... My dear Renee, Nell, doesn't she look cute in those duds? I can't believe she is gone but as Nellie put it, She loved her kids and grandkids to the fullest. Janet, I hope you and Peter enjoy you new mansion that overlooks The Hill. We all will miss you. Girls, I love you all and I am so sorry for your loss.

My thoughts and prayers go out to you during this difficult time. Janet will be missed by so many people that knew her. I knew her from your grandparents store Ross and Nellie Smith in Crary Mills, and she lived next door to my sister Katrina for many years on Howardville Road until they moved to Bullis homestead on Waterman Hill...RIP Janet!

Dear Janet,
Saying goodbye to you is so very difficult. We had so many wonderful conversations that I will always treasure. I wish I had told you how important you were in my life. You and I talked every day and didn't agree with one another 100%. But that is the beauty of family. We were Cousins by blood, sisters at heart, and friendships by choice. I loved you beyond words and I will never forget you my dear friend. Love to your girls and their beautiful family
