It is with deep sorrow I want to express my sympathy to Bob's family. I thought the world of Bob as he was such a kind person. Bob was an amazing father to his own children and took great pride in all of his grand children. May he no longer suffer and sore high with the Angels. May his family find comfort in knowing he will always be with each and every one of them.

We were so saddened by the passing of Bob. He was a very special and caring man. He was always there to help you or offer a helping hand whenever you needed it. I loved to see him come into the snack bar when I worked there and he would always lend a helping hand to Bob whenever he needed it at Augsbury and at the hockey games. He will be missed by many many people. Debbie, I want to take this time to tell you how sad I am that you have lost a great man and father. We will not be able to make it to his celebration but our hearts and prayers are with you. Love, Bob and Peggy Ray.

Bob coached me when he arrived at SLU -hockey was king and basketball was a secondary sport. We had great fun learning together traveling by cars to play teams in the Northeast-too many stories to relate. He had that unique persona of being a mentor, friend, confidant, giving and gracious. We have been so lucky to have this wonderful man be a part of our lives.

Very sorry to hear about the passing of Uncle Bob. While our contact was minimal over the years, the memories that we have are still well imprinted in our memories. He reminded me very much of my own dad, especially that nose! Thoughts and prayers to the family and we will see you on September1. Sincerely, Tom & Nancy Widell

Bob was a true gentleman,a very close friend, and a great coach. Memories galore from games I and other close friends officiated at SLU during his long coaching career. We will miss visiting with him about old times. What a fine family man who will be missed by all who mourn his passing.

A BASKET GARDEN was ordered on August 10, 2016

Message from Lloyd & Anne Jones
August 9, 2016 9:46 PM

There are no words that can explain my feelings. Bob Sheldon was a GREAT man and his loyalty to Colgate and St. Lawrence Universities extraordinary. His support of the Jones family was also extraordinary. My many Colgate Camp experiences, both as a guest and "volunteer" will never be forgotten, and the summers that Lynne was employed at Colgate Camp were very, very special, thanks to Bob, Jean, Bobby, Gary, Susie, Debbie, Chrissie, Sandy and their families.

Bob will be deep missed by anyone who was fortunate to have met him, and he will be remembered as a true friend, a great boss, and a inspirational Colgate alum.

Thank you Sheldon family, for sharing Bob with the Jones family,

Respectfully yours,

Lloyd
