Father Cotter was a special man indeed, kind, intelligent, a living model of Christ. He made even non-believers feel comfortable and loved. The world was a better place with Father Cotter in it. God Bless you, Father, you touched so many lives. Thank you for touching ours.

Goodby to a wonderful man.Condolences to his family. Father Cotter was a true Christian in every sense of the word. Someone who would stop by your home for a baseball game, minister to family or just visit. He was deeply loved.

My deepest sympathy to the family & friends of Father Cotter. My mother, Madelynn O'Hara Smith, cleaned for Father in Hammond for years. When she was hospitalized for the last time, Father Cotter sat with me at her bedside almost every night for 3 months. His thoughtfulness & caring was so appreciated. He also presided over her funeral Mass. Heaven has gained another angel
