My sincere condolences to Rita's family and friends during this sad time. Susan and I are lifelong friends growing up in Canton, so Rita was a lifetime a acquaintance and influence. Happily we renewed that friendship after I returned to Canton, and I was fortunate to spend some quality time with her while she was learning to use a tablet. Also, I was able to savor a few hours with Rita and Susan together when I brought Susan up from Albany for a visit this past Thanksgiving. (So glad we did that). I'll always keep a memory of Rita's half smile, half grin, along with her twinkling eyes. It was all knowing, mischievous, yet full of her love.

So sorry to hear of your loss. Rita was a wonderful person. Her kind spirit and endless humor were a blessing to St. Mary's School. I always enjoyed talking to Rita when she volunteered in the school office. She will be deeply missed.
