Roger A. Dafoe, 69, of Canton died on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital where he had been a patient for a short time.

Roger was born June 30, 1953 in Canton, a son of the late Wesley and Ada (Dumas) Dafoe. He graduated from Canton High School. On October 18, 1975, Roger was married to Deborah Furgison. Roger retired from the United States Army after 25 years of Honorable Service. He enjoyed puzzle books, reading and American History.

Roger is survived by his wife of 47 years, Deborah Dafoe, sons Shawn Furgison and Allen Dafoe (Marie Petrucci) and a daughter Nicole Lottie, two grandchildren, a great grandson and a brother, Richard (Tina) Dafoe.

In addition to his parents Wesley and Ada, he is predeceased by six siblings, Lorena Lewis, Esterella Ashley, Calvin, Myron and Wesley Dafoe Jr. and Lola Wood.
