Phyllis M. (Beldock) Bass

Phyllis M. Bass, 68, of Ogdensburg, died on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse where she had been a patient for a short time.

Phyllis was born December 12, 1952 in Ogdensburg, a daughter of the late Francis and Rachel (LaRock) Beldock. Phyllis graduated from Lisbon Central School and went on to work for Acco Brands manufacturing in Ogdensburg.

Phyllis found true happiness being outdoors enjoying her flowers and yard. She loved country music, listening to it as she worked in her yard. Being with children made her extremely happy, she particularly enjoyed babies. Her family and friends will remember her through the many beautiful items which she sewed and quilted for them. She sewed beautiful outfits for her grandchildren’s and niece’s dolls. Even though we have wonderful sewn items, her family and friends will miss her dearly. God called her home too soon.

Phyllis is survived by her two sons, Michael Bice (Colleen Evans) and Daniel (Julie) Bice; grandchildren, Brooke Downing, Drew and Brittney Bice and Michael and Elyssa Bice.  Also surviving are three siblings, Joyce James; Wayne (Charlotte) Beldock and Sandra (Ted) Fuller and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by a brother-in-law, Wade “Butch” James Jr.

A celebration of life will be planned for a later date.
