Geoffrey G. Cary Sr.

Geoffrey G. Cary, 57, of Sanfordville, died on Monday, October 14, 2019 in the comfort of his home, where he was in the care of his loving wife Linda.

Geoff was born October 1, 1962 in Potsdam, the son of George and Joan (Miller) Cary. He attended Potsdam Schools. On March 12, 1991, Geoff was married to Linda Peters. Geoff worked for a few different trucking companies and long with his father and for himself installing flooring. For the last 20 plus years, he has been proudly working for Seaway Timber in Massena, as he had always loved driving truck. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and splitting wood.

Geoff is survived by his wife of 28 years, Linda Cary; a daughter, Barbara (Mike) Steenberg; Geoffrey (Ria) Cary Jr; his mother, Joan Cary; siblings, Irene (David) Perry; Tammy (Phillip) Snyder; Michael Cary; Richard (Tamra) Cary and Tim (Jennifer) Cary; as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.

He is predeceased by a son, Jason in 1985, father, George in 2017 and a sister, Bernice in July 2019.

Calling hours will be held on Friday at the O’Leary Funeral Home, Canton, from 10:00 am until the time of his funeral service at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial in the Bayside Cemetery, Potsdam will follow the service. Contributions in his memory may be made to the Potsdam Humane Society; 17 Madrid Avenue, Potsdam, New York 13676.
