Graveside services for Mrs. Vivian O. "Bibby" Post, 83, of Canton will be held on Friday October 31, 2008 at 3:30pm at Riverside Cemetery, Gouverneur with Rev. William Hart officiating. Mrs. Post passed away on Monday, October 27, 2008 at the United Helpers Canton Nursing Home where she had been a resident since July of this year.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 1:00-3:00pm on Friday.
Surviving Mrs. Post are a brother Charles E. Paro and wife Helen of Punta Gorda, Florida and a nephew Guy Paro of Canton. A brother Guy Paro, three sisters Edith Roberts, Gladys Rounds and Ina Roberts predecease her.
Born June 14, 1925 in Pierrepont, daughter of the late Charles and Dora (Waldo) Paro. She graduated from Colton-Pierrepont Central School and from Massena Business School. She worked in the St. Lawrence county Social Services office for many years. In Florida, 1955, Vivian married Harrison Post; he predeceased her in September of 1965.
