Vivian A. Coffey

Funeral service for Vivian A. Coffey, 81, of Rensselaer Falls, will be held on Monday, November 11, 2013 at 10:00 AM at the Cornerstone Wesleyan Church, Heuvelton; with Pastor Rusty Bissell, officiating. Burial will follow in the North Russell Cemetery. Vivian died on Friday, November 08, 2013 at the United Helpers Riverledge Nursing Home.

Friends may call at the O'Leary Funeral Home, 5821 US Hwy 11; Canton on Sunday, November 10, from 1:00 - 4:00 PM. Contributions in her memory may be made to the St. Lawrence County Cancer Fund.

Surviving Vivian are three sons, Rodney F. Coffey of Camillus, NY; Allan W. Coffey of DeKalb Jct; and William C. Coffey and wife Tracy of Massena; a daughter, Gayle Fobare and husband Steven of Rensselaer Falls; a brother Fred Barnes and wife Leona of Aurora, Ontario; three sisters, Alice Granger and husband Edward of Venice, FL; Jeanie Grisch; Helen Russell and husband William of Georgetown, Ontario; 17 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Vivian is predeceased by a daughter Diane Murray and by several brothers and sisters.
Vivian was born, October 31, 1932 in St. John, Newfoundland, Canada. She was the daughter of the late, John R. and Mary E. (Brushett) Barnes. She married Frederick Coffey on December 4, 1954 in Toronto, Canada. Fred predeceased her on May 30, 2000. Vivian was a homemaker on the family farm.
She enjoyed singing and Knitting.
