Valorie A. Wilson

Valorie A. Wilson, 69, formerly of DeKalb Junction died on Wednesday, January 22, 2025 at the Carthage Center Nursing Home, where she was in the company of family.

Valorie was born April 23, 1955 in Ogdensburg, a daughter of the late Clifford and Ruth (Leach) Peets. She was graduated from Heuvelton Central School in 1973. On December 16, 1978, Valorie married Bob Wilson at the DeKalb Methodist Church, the union was officiated by Pastor Love.

Valorie worked various jobs throughout her lifetime, most notably as a Teacher's Aide with BOCES and Coopers Falls Crafts. She enjoyed crafting, baking, dancing and Karaoke. She was a past member of the DeKalb and Canton Fire Department Auxiliary. Her most cherished time was spent as a grandmother, as she doted on Nolan and Delainee. She rarely missed one of Nolan's hockey games and was the Team Gigi, always with her bag of snacks.

Valorie is survived by her husband of 46 years, Bob Wilson, son Marcus (Janelle) Wilson, grandchildren Nolan and Delainee Wilson, sister Maxine Peets and her beloved dog Bella.

In addition to her parents, Valorie was predeceased by a son, Robert Daniel Wilson and a sister Donna Peets.

There will be no services at this time. A graveside service will be held at a later date.
