Timothy L. Riley, 46, of Old DeKalb died unexpectedly at home on Thursday, November 13, 2025.
Tim was born March 8, 1979 in Norwich, CT, a son of Kim and Regina (Gaudreau) Riley. He attended local schools and received his GED prior to joining the US Marine Corps. After being honorably discharged, Tim returned to the North Country and married Katie Clifford.
Tim worked for ConTech Construction in Gouverneur for a while and helped on Amish Farms in the area. He was known for his artwork and wood carving. Tim had a generous heart and would donate his time freely to help raise money for local Jamboree’s, always donating some of his works to the cause.
Tim also loved gardening, and collecting rocks and crystals.
Tim is survived by his parents, Kim Riley and Regina Cassidy, daughters, Emma Riley and her mother, Katie and Kelsea Riley and her mother Megan Wood; by siblings Kim (Rachel) Riley Jr., Jessica (Matt) Brabaw, nieces and nephews Mattie, Keaton, Hannah and Hailey Brabaw and Jack, Afton and Maxwell Riley, an uncle Ritchie “Norman” Gaudreau as well as additional aunts, uncles and cousins.
Calling hours for Tim will be held on Sunday, November 16, 2025 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the O’Leary Funeral Home, Canton. A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 17, 2025 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial in the Old DeKalb Cemetery will follow.
