Theresa O. (O'Brien) Vebber

Funeral service for Theresa O. Vebber, 82, of Pierrepont, will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Theresa passed on Saturday, August 29, 2015 while at home.
Theresa is survived by a son, James Vebber and wife Shelley and by a daughter, Nancy Rutledge and husband James, all of Pierrepont; by two grandsons, Mark Vebber and wife Mary Kathryn of Greenville, NC and Kevin Vebber and wife Charly of Farmville, NC and two great-granddaughters. Also surviving are a sister, Joan Waite and husband Raymond and several nieces and nephews.
She is predeceased by her parents, James and Irene and by three brothers in infancy.
Theresa was born November 26, 1932 in Potsdam, the daughter of James and Irene (Murphy) O'Brien. She graduated from Canton Central School. On September 22, 1952 she married Floyd Vebber, whom predeceased her on April 7, 2012. Theresa had a distinguished career and retired as deputy county clerk after many years of service with St. Lawrence County.
Theresa was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church in Colton and served over 20 years on the Town of Pierrepont Zoning Board of Appeals. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Pierrepont Fire Department and First Responders, 62 Old County Road; Canton, New York 13617.
