Theodore Rubin

Theodore J. Rubin, 78, formerly of Ogdensburg and Malone, died on Thursday, February 20, 2025 at the Carthage Area Hospital, following a brief stay at the Carthage Center Nursing Home.

Theodore was born December 5, 1946 in Malone, New York, a son of the late Abraham and Stella (Snyder) Rubin. He attended Madrid-Waddington Central School and later received a GED. Theodore then graduated from Canton ATC where he earned an Associate's degree.

Theodore lived in Texas for a time working for Firestone. For the majority of his life, Theodore worked construction, hanging sheetrock and doing stone masonry. He enjoyed wood crafting, ceramics, gardening and was an avid Lord of the Rings and J.R.R. Tolkien fan.

Theodore is survived by three children, Theodore (Doris) Rubin Jr., Shawn Rubin and Brandy Cota, eight grandchildren, Della, Dylan, Cassidy, Allison, James, Harley, Shawn and Natasha, 11 great-grandchildren, Ronan, Hunter, Liam, Izabelle, Maverick, Camdyn, Jayla, Damyn, Cayman, Virginia and Brooklyn.

In addition to his parents Abraham and Stella, he was predeceased by two sons, Michael and Randy Rubin and a daughter-in-law Tina Rubin.

A Celebration of Life for Theodore will be planned for a later time.
