Terry J. Todd

Loved by all whom he encountered, Terry J. Todd, 74, died surrounded by friends and family on November 11, 2021. Terry was born April 28, 1947. He is predeceased by his first wife, Kathleen and by a daughter, Lisa Peacock.

Terry is survived by his children, Lindsay and Justin; Teresa Todd, whom he married in 2014, having met the prior year. He became a loving father to Krista, Timothy, Kammi, Merrissa and Thomas. He had many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. Also surviving are a sister, Debra Janes and brothers, Jeffrey and Martin Todd.

Having enlisted in the military, Terry served his country for seven years as a Marine in Vietnam; and for his service he was awarded several Medals of Honor. He continued service to his country in the Reserves for the next 20 years.

After returning from Vietnam, he became a beloved bus driver for Canton Central School district, as well as a heating technician at St. Lawrence University for more than 40 years.

Terry continued to serve the community and when Grace Church began a regular soup kitchen, he was active in its set up. He and his wife, Teresa, were regular attendees of other community meals in Canton.

Calling hours for Terry will be held on Saturday, November 20, 2021 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm at the O'Leary Funeral Home, Canton. A funeral service will follow at 12:30 pm at Grace Church. Interment with full military honors will be held at the Fairview Cemetery, Canton.
