Memorial service for Steven D. McMartin, 62 of Ogdensburg, will be held on Friday, June 22, 2012 at 1:00pm at the O'Leary Funeral Home, 5821 US 11; Canton, with Rev. Bill Hart, officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11am until the time of the service. Steven died on Friday, June 15, 2012 while under the care of family and St. Lawrence Valley Hospice.
Surviving Steven are four sons, Robert D. Hance of Canton; Duane and wife Lora Hance of Mass; William and wife Rachel Hance of KY and Derrick Hance of Canton; three brothers, Neale and wife Dannette Hance of Winthrop; Larry and wife Kathy McMartin of Citra, FL; and David and Judy McMartin of Canton; sisters, Ruby and husband Verde Snyder of Canton; Penny and husband Joseph Rutherford of Madrid; Tammy and husband David Allen of Potsdam and 8 grandchildren.
Steven was born January 18, 1950 in Gouverneur, the son of the late, Clinton and Pauline (Hance) McMartin. He worked as an electrician for various firms in New York. Steven enjoyed hunting, fishing and working.
