Royce F. Brooks

Royce F. Brooks, 76, of Potsdam passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital after being stricken at home. In accordance with his wishes, there will be no funeral or calling hours. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Canton, at a later date.
Royce was born April 24, 1941 in Scheffield, Vermont, the son of the late Freeman and Irene (Baird) Brooks. Royce was stationed at Fort Bragg Army Base in Georgia before being Honorably Discharged. On July 17, 1965, Royce married Evelyn B. Moquin at St. Paul's Church in Barton, VT. The couple relocated to Potsdam in 1995, where he and Evelyn operated a dairy farm on the Morgan Road until his retirement.
Royce enjoyed hunting, hiking and taking walks in the woods.
Royce is survived by his wife of 52 years, Evelyn of Potsdam; a son Alan (Evelyn) Brook of Hannawa Falls; two grandchildren, Christopher and Alexander Brooks; four sisters, Joyce (Clyde) Hull of Jericho, VT; Marilyn Bradley of Sara vista, AZ; Kay Kealey of Herfred, AZ and Ruth Anne (Ted) Henderer of Parish, SC.
