Funeral service for Roy L. Hardy, 62, of Canton will be held on Friday, July 13, 2012 at 11:00am, at the O'Leary Funeral Home, US Hwy 11; Canton with Rev. Michael H. Terrell, officiating.. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery in DeKalb. Roy died on Wednesday, July 11, 2012 at the St. Regis Nursing Home, Massena.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 10am until the time of the service.
Surviving Roy are two daughters, Brandy Bristol and husband James of Carthage; Becky Coller and husband Brian of Canton; his mother Bettie Hardy of Canton; a sister, Myrtle Regan and husband Francis of Canton; five grandchildren and one nephew.
Roy was born September 27, 1949 in Ogdensburg, the son of the late Louis Hardy and Bettie Mason. He graduated from Hermon-DeKalb Schools in 1967. Roy was a custodian for SUNY Canton in the 70's, he worked for the Canton IGA and delivered the Watertown Daily Times newspaper for several years.
Roy loved farming and the DeKalb cattle auctions.
