Rose White, 72, of upstate New York, passed away on August 31, 2026. Born in Utica, NY, on October 12, 1953, to Carl and Ellen (Helena) Servatius Falk, and was one of 16 children. Rose was a woman of deep faith and boundless generosity.
On April 21, 1979, she married the love of her life, Laurence White. Over their 47 years together, they built a beautiful, bustling life and were blessed with 13 children. Rose was a fiercely independent spirit who lived life on her own terms, served others endlessly, and was always anchored by her unwavering belief that “God will provide.”
A devout practicing Catholic, Rose found joy in the simple, beautiful things: tending to her gardens, watching the birds, and spending quiet moments with God, puzzles and word searches. She was a woman who lived in service to others; if you were in need, you could always count on Rose to show up with a warm meal or whatever else was required. Her kindness and compassion left a lasting mark on everyone she encountered.
While we mourn her loss, we are deeply comforted to know that she is now pain-free, resting in the presence of God and awaiting paradise.
Rose is survived by her husband, Laurence, and 12 of her children. She was preceded in death by her son, Zach.
A Memorial Mass will be held for family and close friends at St. Mary’s Church in Canton at 11:00 am, Friday, September 11, 2026, burial beside her son, Zach, at St. Mary’s Cemetery, will be held privately.
Rose loved flowers, but due to her allergies, the family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to the Wounded Warrior Project—a cause she supported religiously, honoring her four children who served in the military—or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in memory of the children she lost.
We ask that you keep her husband, Laurence, in your prayers as he navigates the days ahead.
Memories and condolences may be shared with her family by visiting www.olearyfuneralservice.com. Arrangements for Rose Ellen White are under the care of the O’Leary Funeral Service of Canton.
