Funeral service for Rose Marie Stratton, 51, of Canton will be held on Wednesday, September 23, 2009 at 1:00pm at the O'Leary Funeral Home in Canton with Rev. John Ault of the New Hope Community Church, Potsdam, officiating. Burial in Beech Plains Cemetery will follow. Mrs. Stratton passed away on Sunday, September 20, 2009 at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital.
Friends may call at the O'Leary Funeral Home in Canton on Wednesday, September 23 from noon until the time of the service.
Surviving Rose Marie are her father George Wright of South Colton; two sons, Lionel Jr. and Russell and wife Jessica Stratton all of Colton.
A brother Theron Wright predeceases her
Born December 8, 1957 in Potsdam, she is the daughter of Geroge and the late Roslie (Brundage) Wright. She graduated from Colton -Pierrepont Central School in 1976 and BOCES as a Certified Nurses Assistant. She married Lionel R. Stratton on June 30, 1976 at the United Methodist Church in Potsdam. He predeceased her on December 26, 1997.
She enjoyed reading and her cat Chester.
