Ronnie L. Bice, 74, of Russell died on Sunday, March 30, 2025 at his home where he was in the company of family, while under the care of Hospice.
Ronnie was born December 5, 1950 in Potsdam, a son of the late Almeron and Cora (Eells) Bice. He graduated from Knox-Memorial Central School and entered the United States Army being stationed in Korea during the Vietnam conflict. He was a tank specialist. Ronnie married Marion H. LaPage on September 20, 1972. Marion predeceased him on May 7, 2020.
Upon returning from service, Ronnie worked for J&L Steel in Star Lake, Con Quip Construction, St. Lawrence Zinc, Germ-Eddy and Harry Harmer Construction, retiring in 2010. Ronnie enjoyed fishing, hunting, fixing cars and tractors, watching TV and being outside.
He is survived by two children, Leslie "Poke" Dunn and Jacob (Tracy) Bice, grandchildren Monica, Rilee, Meridith, Collin and Blake and a great-granddaughter Amahra. Also surviving is a brother, David (Janine) Bice, cousins Bob and Tess Eells, Wayne Eells and a sister-in-law Nancy Clary.
In addition to his wife Marion and parents Almeron and Cora, he was predeceased by a son, Ronnie Jr. "Lee", and siblings Judy Webb and Jerry Bice.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, April 13, 2025 from 11:00 am till 1:00 pm, followed by a graveside service at Beech Plains Cemetery at 2:00 pm.
