Roberta J. Hogle 45 passed away Thursday August 20, 2009 at her home of Breast Cancer. Bobbi Jo is greatly missed by all of her many friends and family.
Bobbi was born March 17, 1964 in Canton, NY. She was the daughter of Rodney Hogle of Colton, NY and Patricia (Gerrish) Hogle of Edgewater FL.
Bobbi graduated from Knox Memorial High School in 1982, and then Crane School of Music. She later earned her Master's Degree from SUNY Albany.
She loved music and played with several groups at various area establishments. She and Donna Britton were a popular local group, Tattletales Duo, in the Glens Falls area. Her son Tristan has started playing trumpet. Her daughter Aubrey played upright bass at some of their gigs. How proud can a mother get?
Bobbi was an avid gardener with the greenest of green thumbs, which Aubrey shared an interest in. Tristan's contribution to her gardens consists of Nerf darts, BB's and arrows.
She also enjoyed decorating and refurnishing her home. Since they bought the house in 1999, right before Tristan was born, and it has since been her pleasure to turn it into a warm and inviting home for all her many friends and family.
She is survived by both of her parents, her partner Tony Collins, her children Aubrey and Tristan Baldauf who were the loves of her life, and their father James Baldauf;
a sister, Marnie Streit of Nichols, NY; three brothers, Rodney Hogle of Hermon, NY; Terry (Theron) Hogle of Pulaski, NY ; Jon Hogle of Colton NY; eleven nieces & nephews, three great nephews; and by her grandparents Charles and Eileen Gerrish of Potsdam, NY.
Roberta was an animal lover especially her dog Chauncey and Aubrey's cat Lucy.
Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Singleton-Healy Funeral Home 407 Bay Rd. Queensbury.
Friends may call on Monday, August 24, 2009 at the O'Leary Funeral Home in Canton NY from 3-5 and 7-9pm. A graveside service for family and close friends will be conducted at 11:00am, Tuesday, August 25, 2009 at the Beech Plains Cemetery. Immediately following, the family would like to invite everyone to enjoy a celebration of Bobbi's life, a luncheon, at the Pierrepont Fire Hall.
Instead of flowers the family has suggested memorials be in the form of donations to the American Cancer Society or a charity of ones choice.
