Richard G. Harris

Mr. Richard G. Harris, 82, Ogdensburg and formerly of Schenectady passed away peacefully on Sunday, April 16, 2017 at the United Helpers Riverledge Nursing Home, Ogdensburg, while in the company of family. Richard had been a resident of Riverledge since October of 2014.
Richard was born June 4, 1934 in Schenectady, the son of the late George and Sarah (Heinze) Harris. He attended Schenectady Schools prior to enlisting in the United States Navy. Richard had worked for Bennette Weapons. On July 2, 1995, he married Roxanna (Reynolds) Erlichman. Richard was a member of the Delmar American Legion #1040 and the B.P.O.E. Elks of Colonie.
Among his survivors are his wife Roxanna of Canton; three sons, Richard (Ann-Marie) Harris Jr.; Karl (Diane) Harris; Scott (Christina) Leibowitz; steps-sons, Joseph (Bonnie) Erlichman and James (Marybeth) Erlichman. Also surviving are grandchildren, Benjamin, Jarrod, Hannah, Leah, Doss, Benjamin, Sara, Gretchen, Bernadett, Mary Lourdes, Zachary and Ian.
A sister Sarah Brown predeceased him.
Private burial will be held in Saratoga National Cemetery.
