Patricia A. (Bence) Burcume

Prayer service for Patricia A. Burcume, 62, of Canton will be held on Saturday, October 18, 2014 at 8:00 PM at the O'Leary Funeral Home, Canton. Patricia passed away on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 while at home surrounded by family and under the care of St. Lawrence Valley Hospice.
Calling hours will be held at the funeral home from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Saturday. Contributions in her memory may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of the St. Lawrence Valley; 6805 US Highway 11; Potsdam, New York 13676.
Patricia is survived by her husband Robert; son David Burcume; four daughters, Bonnie Brothers of Canton; Rachel Burcume and companion Paul Ramsey of Carthage; Kimberly Burcume and companion Frank Roberts of Watertown and Rebecca Burcume and companion Joshua Mitchell of Canton; grandchildren, Hunter and Ticia Yerdon, Paul Ramsey Jr, Olivia Cameron, Diamond Bishop and Mya Mitchell. Also surviving are sisters, Lynn and Cindy Bence and Lori Sullivan all of Rochester, Aunt Alice Lampman of Canton and many nieces and nephews.
Patricia is predeceased by a brother and sister-in-law Raymond and Luann Bence, by a brother-in-law Ken Sullivan and Uncle Robert Lampman.
Patricia was born March 20, 1952 in Rochester, the daughter of the late Charles and Ellen (Ghysel) Bence. She attended Rochester High School. Patricia worked as a nurse's aid at the Moon Gate Nursing Home in Canton. On May 8, 1971 she married Robert W. Burcume at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Canton.
She enjoyed spending time with family, playing bingo and crocheting.
