Nancy A. Parrow, 80, of Russell, died Saturday, July 25, 2026 at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital, where she was surrounded by the love of her family.

Nancy was born February 28, 1946 in Pyrites, a daughter of the late Alton A. and Esther (Dafoe) Ashley. She attended Canton High School and later received her GED. On September 4, 1993 in Pierrepont, Nancy married Frederick Parrow. Fred predeceased her on May 16, 2017.

Nancy worked as an aid at United Helpers, did home health care, worked for P&C Markets and before Fred’s passing, the two were volunteer drivers for St. Lawrence County. Nancy loved to crochet, she had the ability to look at something and replicate it, she enjoyed diamond painting, dancing, BINGO and going to the casino. She was a past member of the Pyrites Volunteer Fire Department and Auxiliary and had been an Avon Dealer.

Nancy is survived by three children, Calvin Bell (Angie Bellinger), Cully (Sheila) Bell, and Stormy (Andrew) Straight, grandchildren Mindy Hall, Kennedy Rodriguez, Shane Lashomb, Mathew Bellinger, Nancy Sharlow, Cully Bell, Cassandra Given, Frederick Given, Tiffani Robertson, Dominic Given and Daniel Ladison, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Also surviving are five siblings, Rosalie (Bert) Thomas, Lola (Steve) Curran, Laurel (Mark) Robertson, Wesley Ashley and Estella (David) Hart, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

In addition to her beloved husband Frederick and parents, Alton and Esther Ashley, Nancy was predeceased by a son Ashley Given, brother Alton J. Ashley and grandsons Zachary and Gregory Ladison.

Calling hours for Nancy will be held on Tuesday, July 28, 2026 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm, followed immediately by a funeral service at 2:00 pm at the O’Leary Funeral Home, Canton. Burial in the Fairview Cemetery will follow the service.
