Morton Ansel Swinyer

Morton Ansel Swinyer, 72, passed away Sunday December 11, 2011 at Canton-Potsdam Hospital. Morton was born March 11, 1939 in Saranac Lake, the son of Everette and Bertha (Donally) Swinyer. Married Shirley Smith in the Canton United Methodist Church on Aug. 10, 1957 with Rev. Aleslie Potter off. Mrs. Smith passed away on Sept. 10, 2004.
He is survived by four sons; Morton J. of Star Lake; Ronald and Tiffany of Newton Falls; Daniel and Marjorie of Oswegatchie and Gordon of Oswegatchie; by two daughters; Robin and Red Coller of Morley and Melissa Thivierge of Catawissa, PA.; 21 grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; by two brothers; Everette and Terri and Francis and Bonnie; both of Norwood, by two sisters Mary and Dale Adams of Newton Falls and Barb Goodrow of Brasher Falls; and several nieces and nephews.
Morton was predeceased by four brothers, Harold; Glenn; Truman and Joe swinyer, three sisters, Irene Sloan; Ethel Johnson and Elizabeth Rolston; by a grandson Justin Valentine and a great granddaughter Kaitlyn Cheyenne Swinyer.
He enjoyed Hunting, fishing, camping and old cars. There will be no calling hours or funeral service. Arrangements are with the O'Leary Funeral Service of Canton.
