Graveside services for Mildred Muhs, 98, of Canton, formerly of Sansharon Dr, Irondequoit, will be held on Tuesday, February 9, 2010 at 1:00pm at the White Haven Memorial Park in Rochester. Mrs. Muhs passed away on Friday, February 5, 2010 at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital where she had been a patient for a short time.
Surviving Mildred are nephews Thomas Jr. and wife Susan Patterson of Burlington, VT; David and wife Ann Patterson of Canton; Paul and wife Kim Patterson of Lenoir City, TN; and a niece Susan and husband Duncan of North Port, FL.
A daughter, Anne E. Wallace in 1978 and a brother, Thomas F. Patterson Sr. in 2002 predeceased her.
Born May 17, 1911 in Rochester, daughter of the late Frank Cleary and Vina Cathryn (DeBlauwe) Patterson, she graduated from John C. Marshall High School. She was employed by Sibley's Department Store, Irondequoit as a floor clerk. She married Lyle Wallace, whom predeceased her in 1959 and Willard Muhs, who passed away in 1963. She enjoyed knitting garments for friends and family as well as the newborn caps for Canton- Potsdam Hospital, playing Bridge and was a meticulous housekeeper.
