Funeral service for Mildred Dafoe, 78, of Massena and formerly of Canton will be held on Thursday, January 27, 2011 at 2:00pm at the O'Leary Funeral Home in Canton with Rev. Jay Seymour officiating. Spring interment will be held on Friday, May 6, 2011 at the Fairview Cemetery, Canton at 3:00pm. Mildred passed away on Monday, January 24, 2011 at the Massena Memorial Hospital.
Friends may call at the O'Leary Funeral Home in Canton on Thursday, from 10:00am until the time of the service. Contributions in memory may be made to the Massena Memorial Hospital, Hospice and Palliative Care of the St. Lawrence Valley or to your local meals on wheels service.
Mildred is survived by her husband of 58 years Victor Dafoe of Massena; two daughters, Vickie of New Jersey and Nancy of Illinois; by three sons, Allen of Albany; Dennis of Indiana and Gary of Massena and by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mildred was a devoted wife and mother that will be remembered by all. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends and especially her grandchildren.
