Funeral Service for Michael R. Murdock, 52, of Hermon, will be held on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 at 8:00pm at the O'Leary Funeral Home in Canton with Rev. Robert Schirmer, officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6pm until the time of the service.
Michael passed away on Saturday, October 16, 2010 at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital. Contributions in his memory may be made to a charity of one's choice.
Surviving Mr. Murdock are his wife Patricia of Hermon; a son, Michael and companion Jaime Bennett of Pyrites; two daughters, Stephanie Voisine and companion Thomas Baker, Panama City Beach, FL; Bridget Murdock and fiancé© Prentice Purvis of Hermon; two brothers, Dean "Pete" Murdock and wife Val of Ogdensburg; Ronald Murdock of Pyrites; sisters Kathy Murdock of Pyrites; Rhonda Dirhburg and husband Corey of Canton; Kelly Tyo and husband Michael of DeKalb and four grandchildren; Donovan Voisine, Jalyn Ann Murdock, Javon and Jamar Musa and close family friend Roger Voisine of Rensselaer Falls.
He was predeceased by a brother Albert.
Michael was born February 11, 1958 in Canton, son of the late Dean and Betty (Daniels) Murdock. He attended Canton Schools and in 1995, earned his G.E.D. He married Patricia Flannigan on February 17, 1980 at the 7th Day Adventist Church in Canton.
Michael enjoyed hunting, fishing and Harley Davidson's. He was an auxiliary member of the Canton VFW Post 1231.
