Mary N. (Nesky) Clark

Mary N. Clark, age 97, passed away peacefully in Canton, NY on Tuesday, May 1 2018.  Mary, the daughter of Nester and Rose (Cormonack) Nesky, was born on October 23, 1920 in Gouverneur, NY.  She graduated from Ogdensburg Free Academy in 1939 and married Clarence (Clarky) Clark in 1942.  She and Clarky moved to the Clark family home in Canton, NY; where she resided for 75 years.

Mary retired from the Canton Savings and Loan, now North Country Savings Bank in Canton, NY.  She was an avid card player and a member of numerous quilting and knitting groups.  She was talented in all handicrafts and was an outstanding baker.  Mary loved spending time with friends and thoroughly enjoyed being active in the lives of her grandchildren.

Mary is survived by her son Donald Clark and his wife, Diane; her daughter, Sally Clark and her husband Larry Doyle;  four grandchildren, Tonda  Clark Bourque, Eric Walker Clark, Megan Clark Kent, and James Clark Doyle; three great grandchildren, Mackenzie Dana Bourque, Justin Patrick Bourque, and MaKayla Marie Kent; one sister, Evelyn Gotham; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her husband, Clarky; two sisters, Irene DiMezzo and Helen Voci; two brothers, John and Paul Slamski; and Clarky's  Aunt and Uncle, Rupert and Maefred Clark Walker.

The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice and Maplewood for their extraordinary guidance and compassionate care.

There will be a calling hour held at the O'Leary Funeral Home, US highway 11, Canton, NY on May 9, 2018 from 10-11 am followed by a service celebrating Mary's life.
