Memorial service for Mary Anne (Elsey) Gray-Frisco, 83, of DeKalb Jct., will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2014 at 12:00pm at the DeKalb United Methodist Church. Mary Anne died on Monday, March 3, 2014 while at home.
Surviving Mary Anne are sons, Robert Gray and wife Janis of Heuvelton; Frederick Gray of DeKalb and Andrew Gray and wife Sandra of Mexico, NY; a daughter, Julie Gray of DeKalb; six grandchildren, Adam Miller; Neil, Callie, Trevor and Deanna Gray and Brian Steele. Also surviving are three sisters; Lenore Bovay; Patricia Bacon and husband Sanford and Martha Reynolds, all of DeKalb.
She is predeceased by sons, Phillip and Timothy Gray.
Mary Anne was born, June 12, 1930 in DeKalb, the daughter of the late Elmer and Dorothy (Madison) Elsey. Mary Anne drove bus for Hermon-DeKalb Central School for five years; worked in Florida as a cook and prep cook in various restaurants and owned Mary Anne's Diner in DeKalb. She was married to Leland Gray whom predeceased her in 1968.
Mary Anne enjoyed playing cards; she coached the Red Rock Peewee Baseball team in the 60's and loved to cook.
