Funeral services for Martha P. Perry, 88, of Debra Drive, Potsdam, formerly of Dekalb will be held on Monday, August 25, 2008 at 10:00am at O'Leary Funeral Service in Canton with Rev. William Hart officiating, burial in East Dekalb Cemetery will follow the service. Mrs. Perry passed away on Thursday, August 21, 2008 at her home surrounded by her family, while under the care of Hospice and Palliative Care of the St. Lawrence Valley.

Friends may call at O'Leary Funeral Service in Canton on Sunday, August 24, 2008 from 2-5pm. Contributions in her memory may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of the St. Lawrence Valley at 6805 US Hwy 11, Potsdam, New York 13676.

Surviving Mrs. Perry are a son Floyd Jr. and Molly Field of Canton, 8 daughters; Mrs. Jayne and Bruce Donovan of Cropseyville, NY, Karen Patton of Vacaville, California, Kathie Briggs of Potsdam, Trudy and Mike Dean of Watertown, Norma and Kyle Matott of Potsdam, Lucy and Scott Gallup of Sugarland, TX., Debbie Field of Hannawa Falls and Amy LeBoeuf of Canton, five step-children; Raymond Perry of NC, Billy Jim Perry of Kansas, Ernest Perry of Waddington, Mike Perry of Kansas, and Janice Miller of NC, 33 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Seven sisters, Gertrude Gladle, Jennie LaPlante, Ethel Trombley, Rose Hance, Eva Billings, Florence Newvine and Ella Biggs, a brother Frederick Davis and stepsons David and Doug Perry predecease her.

Born May 8, 1920 in Dekalb Junction, daughter of the late Silas Frederick and Levina (Blevins) Davis. She attended Dekalb Schools. She was a homemaker and spent some time working for the Canton Neighborhood Center. She married Floyd Field Sr., he predeceased her on June 16, 1964 and married January Perry on December 20, 1964 at the Canton Baptist Church with Rev. Underwood officiating, he predeceased her on June 29, 1991.
