Marian Jordan

Funeral mass for Marian Jordan, 100, of Canton, will be held on Monday, March 8, 2010 at 10:30am at St. Mary's Church with Rev. Bryan Stitt, Celebrating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Canton. Mrs. Jordan passed away on Friday, March 05, 2010 at the United Helpers Maplewood Campus.
Friends may call at the O'Leary Funeral Home in Canton on Sunday, March 7, 2010 from 6-8pm. Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to St. Mary' s Church or to the United Helpers Maplewood Campus.
Surviving Marian are four daughters; Myrna Jordan and Joan Newman, both of Canton; Diane and husband Lloyd Cunningham of Lake Odessa, Michigan; Rebecca and husband Christopher O'Brien of Lisbon; a sister Winnie Fife or Ogdensburg, a daughter-in-law Bonnie Jordan of Canton; 16 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
A son William Jordan, two brothers Robert and Charles Jones and a sister Eloise Bartholemeu predecease her.
Marion was born June 17, 1909 in Lisbon, the daughter of the late William G. and Rena (Fisher) Jones. She graduated from Madrid Schools and Potsdam Normal School. She was a teacher at the Gregory Corners Country School for a short time. She married John Jordan on September 4, 1930 at St. Mary's Church in Canton with Rev. John O'Neil, celebrating; Mr. Jordan predeceased her on December 17, 1999.
She was a member of the Morley Home Bureau and the Morley Grange as well as a communicant of St. Mary's Church.
