Marcia E. (Hill) Cota

Funeral service for Marcia E. Cota, 65, of Gouverneur and formerly of Canton, will be held on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at 10:00 AM at the O'Leary Funeral Home, Canton. Burial will follow in the South Russell Cemetery, Russell. Marcia died on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at the Gouverneur Hospital.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday, April 5 from 2-6 PM. Contributions in her memory may be made to American Diabetes Association.
Marcia is survived by her daughter, Margo (Hill) Palmer and husband Shawn and grandson Rory, all of Dallas, Texas; by three brothers, Wayne (JoAnn) Hill of Potsdam; Leo Hill of Pierrepont and Allan (Betty) Hill of Reading, PA; and by a sister, Serena LaLone of Canton.
Marcia was born, August 31, 1950 in Potsdam, the daughter of the late Saranas and Celia (White) Hill. She graduated from Canton Central School in 1968 and attended Canton ATC. Marcia worked for the St. Lawrence County One Stop Career Center. Marcia married Roderick G. Cota on January 18, 1997, he predeceased her on November 15, 2000. She enjoyed crafting, crocheting and reading, as well as camping and riding motor cycles with her boyfriend Rodger Hutton of Gouverneur.
