M. Eileen Carrow

Mass of Christian Burial for M. Eileen Carrow, 90, of Canton will be held on Friday, May 16, 2014 at 1:00 PM at the St. Mary's Church, Canton with Rev. Douglas J. Lucia, celebrating. Burial will follow in the St. Mary's Cemetery. Eileen died on Monday, May 12 at the Spicer Home.
Friends may call at the O'Leary Funeral Home, 5821 US Highway 11, Canton; on Thursday, May 15 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. Contributions in her memory may be made to the St. Mary's Church, 66 Court Street; Canton, NY 13617, Canton Fire and Rescue, 77 Riverside Dr; Canton, New York 13617 or to a charity of one's choice.
Eileen is survived by two sister-in-laws, Eleanor and Lita Maroney, both of Canton and by seven nieces and nephews, Frances Mahany; Howard Maroney; Colleen Swierad; Mauri Maroney; Valli Gendetzki; Donald Maroney and Mary Garris.
She is predeceased by four brothers, R. Michael, James, John and Patrick Maroney and by a nephew Bernard Patrick Maroney.
Eileen was born June 4, 1923 in Canton, the daughter of the late Leo and Florence (Chisamore) Maroney. She graduated from Canton High School. On April 7, 1947 at the St. Mary's Church in Canton, Eileen married Herbert Carrow, with Rev. Robert McCarthy, officiating. Herbie, as she lovingly called him, predeceased her on October 6, 2003. Eileen was a licensed beautician for 42 years, owning the Cameo Beauty Salon. Eileen was a communicant of St. Mary's Church and loved camping.
