Linda Brown, 76, of Canton passed away unexpectedly in her sleep on Friday, June 5, 2026.

Linda was born December 13, 1949 in North Syracuse, a daughter of the late Frank and Charlotte Holbrook. Linda have a love for cooking, was a taxi driver, spent several years as a caregiver at United Helpers, was a district manager for the Watertown Daily Times and rode numerous miles in the tractor trailer with her beloved husband, Lindsay, who predeceased her in 2012.

Linda enjoyed watching “Murder, she wrote”, movies, cooking, spending time with her children and grandchildren, she always had a smile and would help anyone she could.

Linda is survived by her children, Frank Brown (Ashley Moats), Shannon Brown, Jay Brown, Paulette Younglove and David Brown, several grandchildren including Trenton Lalonde and Chantelle Graveline, a sister Robbin Holbrook, as well as nieces and nephews and friends.

In addition to her husband Lindsay and parents, Frank and Charlotte, she was predeceased by a daughter Christina Simmons and a brother David Holbrook.

Calling hours for Linda will be held on Thursday, June 11, 2026 from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm at the O’Leary Funeral Home, Canton. A memorial service will follow at the funeral home at 4:30 pm.
