There will be a gathering of friends for Laura L. Ladison, 78, of Riverside Drive; Canton on Saturday, March 12, 2011 at 1:00pm at the Pyrites Fire Hall. Laura passed away on Thursday, March 3, 2011 at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital after a short stay.
Surviving Laura are three sons; George Ladison of Madrid and Terry and Robert Ladison, both of Canton; five daughters, Doris Cota and husband Richard of Pyrites; Sharline Fregoe and husband Deveron of Perkinson, Miss; Lisa Mitchell and husband Greg of Conn; Dawn Young and husband Dennis of Madrid and Laurie Briere and husband Richard of Syracuse; a sister Betty Lindsley of Madrid; 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Laura is predeceased by her husband Elmer H. Ladison, a son, Lee Michael Ladison, a sister Marilyn Cook and by a brother Robert Lindsley.
Born August 12, 1938 in Russell, she was the daughter of the late Willard and Doris (Flannigan) Lindsley. Laura worked as a nurse's aide for United Helpers Nursing Home. She was a life member of the VFW Post 1231 Ladies Auxiliary.
