Kenneth Van Brocklin, 80, of Canton died on Monday, April 14, 2025 at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital where he was in the company of family.

Kenneth was born August 11, 1944 in Potsdam, a son of the late Glenn and Marian (Scott) Van Brocklin. He was graduated from Canton High School in 1964. Kenneth married Deborah Dawley in February of 1967 at the White Church in Lisbon.

Kenneth worked for Robinson Farm Equipment, operated his own farm for nearly 30 years, delivered auto parts for Auto Value, drove fuel truck for his son Christopher and worked for the D.E.C. Green Thumb program. Kenneth enjoyed working on anything with a motor, always tinkering and fixing something everyone else said couldn't be. He had a massive toy tractor collection. He also had three Hereford cows he raised from birth, his favorite being Fred the steer.

Kenneth is survived by his wife of 58 years, Deborah, five children, Christopher Van Brocklin (Vicki), Travis Van Brocklin, Jeffrey (Kathy) Van Brocklin, Rebecca Flanagan (Mark Rood) and Ashley (Dan) Flanagan, 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

In accordance with is wishes, there will be no services at this time.

A Celebration of Life for Kenneth Van Brocklin will be held on Saturday, May 31, 2025 beginning at 1:00 pm in the Marine Building at the Madrid Community Park, 1835 NY-345, Madrid, NY 13660.
