Katherine M. Sullivan

Funeral service for Katherine M. Sullivan, 62, of Rensselaer Falls, will be held on Friday, April 20, 2012 at 1:00pm at the O'Leary Funeral Home, 5821 US Highway 11, Canton with Rev. Jay Seymour, officiating. Burial in the Purmort Cemetery, DePeyster, will follow the service. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11am until the time of the service. Katherine died on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at the St. Joseph's Home, Ogdensburg after a lengthy battle with cancer.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews, including Patricia and Robert Day of Ogdensburg; Maureen and Michael Madigan of Riverhead, NY; Sheila and Stephen Danforth of Oklahoma; Timothy and Phyllis Wouters of Oklahoma and Dennis and Christa Wouters of Arkansas; and several cousins.
Katherine is predeceased by three brothers, Raymond, James and Wilfred Sullivan and by a sister Eileen Wouters.
She was born, November 4, 1949 in Greenport, Long Island, NY, the daughter of the late Wilfred and Elizabeth (Roche) Sullivan. She graduated from schools on Long Island. Katherine worked for Ticor Title Company in Riverhead, NY prior to moving north in 1985. She worked for Terry O'Donnell, Esq. and for Brownell Abstract Company of Watertown until becoming ill in 2010.
Katherine was a member and current president of the St. Raphael's Altar and Rosary Society of Heuvelton. She enjoyed shopping, her dog and all animals, bowling and spending time with family and friends.
