In accordance with his wishes, there will be no funeral service or calling hours for John Woods, 67, of Canton. John died on February 3, 2014. Those wishing to may make contributions in his memory to a charity of one's choice.
John was born July 20, 1946 in Altamont, NY the son of the late Raymond and Sarah (Tallman) Woods. He graduated from Tupper Lake High School in 1964 and from Clarkson University in 1969 with a degree in Civil Engineering. John worked as an engine for Burley-Guminiak and Associates of Canton. On January 19, 1974 he married Katherine Baldwin in Tupper Lake.
John is survived by his wife Katherine, a son, Adon Woods of Cheektowaga, NY; by a daughter Mindy Woods of Potsdam; a brother David Woods and wife Florence of Diamond Bar, CA; a sister Diane Bedard and husband Roger of Tupper Lake; his step-mother Marjorie Woods of Tupper lake and nieces and nephews.
