Janice R. Lozo

Janice R. (Foster) Lozo, 80, of Russell died peacefully on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital, where she had a brief stay.

Janice was born April 26, 1946 in Canton, a daughter of the late Archie and Elyda (Williams) Foster. She graduated from Clifton-Fine Central School. A marriage to John Archer gave Janice her children, Brian and Angie, but ended in divorce. Janice later married John E. Lozo.

Janice worked at the Gouverneur Hospital, has her own dog grooming business which she ran from home and most recently as an associate for Walmart before becoming ill.

Janice is survived by her husband John Lozo, son Brian (Sondra) Archer and daughter Angie (Tony) Cilluffo, grandchildren Madison, Cameron and Brison Archer and Daniel (Heather) Monaghan. Also surviving is a sister Elaine (Robert) Archer as well as nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Archie and Elyda, Janice was predeceased by a sister Sharon Hamilton and a brother Paul Foster.

In following her wishes, there will be no calling hours or funeral service. A celebration of life will be held later at the convenience of the family.
