Jacquelene J. Cota, 67, of Lisbon died on Monday, August 5, 2024 at Upstate Medical Center, Syracuse, where she was surrounded by her family.
Jackie was born August 8, 1956 in Potsdam, a daughter of the late Everett Coller and Grace Clark. She graduated from Canton High School. On August 15, 1976, Jackie married Phillip Cota Jr. at the family home in Lisbon. Jackie was a homemaker in every sense, she loved raising their children, she gardened and canned, did embroidery and needlework, puzzles and loved shopping, even if she didn't make a purchase. Most of all, her time spent with family, especially her grandchildren is what she cherished the most.
Jackie is survived by her husband of 47 years, Phillip Cota Jr., three children, Jon (Mary) Cota, Jeremiah Cota and Sarah Cota (Scott Jones), nine grandchildren, MacKenzie (Orry), Austin, Elizabeth, Jordan, Kate, Daniel (Elayna), Skyler, Rylee and Bree. Also surviving are three siblings, Barbara (Dennis) Mitchell, Sharon (Dale) Wilson and Cathy Snyder, father-in-law, Phillip Cota Sr. and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents Everett and Grace, she was predeceased by a grandson, Thomas VanSchaick, brother Thurman "Red" Coller and her mother-in-law, Alberta Cota.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 10, 2024 at 11:00 am at the Fairview Cemetery, Canton.
