Funeral service for Harold "Johnny" Grandy, 57, of Massena and formerly of Hermon, will be held on Monday, April 6, 2015 at 11:30 AM at the O'Leary Funeral Home in Canton. Burial will follow in the Hermon Cemetery. Harold passed away on Tuesday, March 31, 2015.
Calling hours will be held on Monday, from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. Contributions in his memory may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of the St. Lawrence Valley; 6805 US Hwy 11; Potsdam, NY 13676.
Harold was born March 4, 1958 in Canton, the son of the late John B. and Marguerite (Reed) Grandy. He attended Fowler Schools. He was raised on the on and around the Lazy River Playground. He was a delightful, loving person. He enjoyed trips to the circus and the zoo, he loved music, especially Lawrence Welk. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Connie Grandy-Augsbury for all her love and support through the years.
Harold is survived by a brother, Francis "Red" Grandy of Hermon and by a sister, Patricia "Anne" Davis of Russell as well as several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Three brothers, John, Meldon and Lloyd Grandy and sisters, Jean and Pauline Grandy predecease him.
