Gail Jean (Hatch) Morrow

Russell - Gail Jean Morrow passed away on December 21, 2023 in Springfield, Mo. She was born on March 6, 1942 to Herbert and Donna Hatch in Governeur, New York. She graduated from Knox Memorial High School, Russell in 1958. Russell is the small village in the foothills of the Adirondack Mountains of New York which she dearly loved and often wanted to go back except in the winter!!

After graduating from two secretarial schools she spent years employed in human resources working with people, which was one of her greatest attributes. She was employed in human resources at Jones & Laughlin Steel Corporation for several years.

Gail moved to the Reeds Spring area 1976 with her former husband Bert Kendall. They only planned to stay 3 or 4 years, but look 45+ years!!!!! They proudly owned and operated Arrowhead Resort and Campground on Table Rock Lake for 13 years. They subsequently developed the Resort and Campground into The Point, a beautiful housing development.

Gail then went to work with Table Rock Lake water quality and was instrumental in her effort of making Table Rock Lake a model of what can be done to make the lake what it is today.

Gail was kind, generous, and had a super sense of humor. She deeply loved her family and friends including all of her extended families, cousins, nieces, nephews. She had a zest for life and chat and share a good story as some of you know!!!

Gail was preceded in death by her parents, Donna and Herbert Hatch, first husband, Bert Kendall, brother Roger Hatch, and sister Tania Grenier.

Gail is survived by her husband Garcia Morrow, her sister Jan Harmer (Daniel), 4 nieces and 3 nephews, Tandra Harmer Shikata and Karl Shikata, Terry Harmer, Paula and James Hatfield, Rhonda and John Rivera, James and Marcy Grenier, Shawn Grenier, and Renea Grenier, stepson James and Sherry Morrow, step-grandson Chris and Vanessa and several great nieces and nephews that she greatly adored.

A grave-side burial service will take place at 2pm, on Friday 17 May 2024 at South Russell Cemetery.
