Frederick White

Funeral mass for Frederick "Ted" White, 93, of Riverside Drive, Canton will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2009 at 11:00am at St. Mary's Church in Canton with Rev. Douglas Lucia celebrating. Burial in St. Mary's Cemetery will follow the service. Mr. White passed away on Saturday, May 02, 2009 at his home.
Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday, May 6, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9pm. Contribution in his memory may be made to Canton Volunteer Rescue Squad or to St. Paul's Oratory, c/o St. Mary's Church of Canton.
Surviving Mr. White are two sons Wayne F. and Linda White of Homosassa, FL; James and Sharon White of Canton; 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.
A daughter Bonita "Bonnie" McInnis, two brothers Donald and Kermit White, a sister Elizabeth "Betty" Whalen predecease him.
Born April 25, 1916 in Canton, son of the late William E. and Iva (Healy) White. He attended Pyrites Schools. Mr. White worked as a Barber for Wilfred Lytle and Lucian Faucher. He had previously worked as a truck driver for Edson Martin. He served in the United States Army from April 1945 till July 1946. E married Leona Carrow on July 24, 1941 at St. Mary's Church in Canton with Rev. John J. Bent officiating. Mrs. White predeceased him on September 19, 1990.
He enjoyed boating, and carpentry work and was a communicant of St. Mary's Church.
