Eleanor M. Teal

Funeral service for Eleanor M. Teal, 72, of Riverside Dr; Canton will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2014 at 8:00 PM at the O'Leary Funeral Home, 5821 US Hwy 11; Canton with Pastor Dave Bannish, of the Morley Wesleyan Church, officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 6:00 PM till the time of the service. Burial in Pine Hill Cemetery, Eel Weir, will in the spring. Eleanor died at home on January 1, 2014.
Surviving Eleanor are four children, John Thompson and wife Tracy of Heuvelton; Wally Teal of Kingston, ON; Michael Teal of Smith Falls, ON; and Christina Thompson of Canton. Also, surviving are a brother, Arnold Larock and wife Lillian of Ogdensburg; and sisters, Lillian Dodd, Virginia Dominie and husband Robert of Ogdensburg; Anne Baunach and husband Edward of Ocala, FL and Arlene LaFaver of Lisbon; and several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Eleanor is predeceased by two children, Robert and Michelle Thompson; by brothers, Robert, Lawrence and Everett Larock and by a sister June McCort.
Eleanor was born August 1, 1941 in the town of Oswegatchie, daughter of the late Walter and Mina (Willard) Larock. She was a homemaker. Eleanor volunteered in the dining room at the 35 Riverside Dr., high rise. Eleanor enjoyed Bingo, collecting cat memorabilia, NASCAR, especially #24 Jeff Gordon, she loved life and spending time with her grandchildren.
