Funeral service for Mrs. Eleanor J. Heinrich, 90, of DeKalb will be held on Thursday, July 27, 2017 at 12:00 pm at the O'Leary Funeral Home, Canton with Pastor Michael Terrell, officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 11:00 am until the time of the service. Mrs. Heinrich died on Sunday, July 23, 2017 at the United Helpers Maplewood Campus in Canton.
Eleanor is survived by a son, David and wife Dianne Heinrich of Charlton, MA; grandsons, Sean, Andrew and Alexander Heinrich and cousin, Barbara and Eugene Coller of DeKalb.
She is predeceased by her husband John L; son, John P., a grandson Dustin and by a brother, Donald Parks.
Eleanor was born, December 18, 1926 in Ogdensburg, the daughter of the late Fred and Frances (Hayes) Parks. She graduated from Heuvelton Central School. On September 1, 1952, Eleanor was married to John L. Heinrich. Eleanor worked for Niagara Mohawk in Syracuse and later for New York Telephone in Watertown. She enjoyed reading and family. Eleanor will be remembered by all for her enduring sense of humor and wit.
