Doris M. Marschat

Funeral service for Doris M. Marschat, 85, of Canton, will be held on Monday, April 23, 2012 at 12:00pm at the O'Leary Funeral Home, 5821 US Highway 11, Canton with Rev. Bill Hart, officiating. Friends may call at the funeral home from 10:00am until the time of the service. Burial will be in the Beech Plains Cemetery, following the service. Doris died on Thursday, April 19, 2012 at the Fletcher-Allen Medical Center, Burlington, VT.
Surviving Doris are five children, Charles Eells of Massena; Robert Eells of Florida; Richard Eells of North Carolina; Donald Eells of Canton and Shirley and husband Robert Michaud of Massena; step-children, Kelly Tebo and husband Don Jr. of Parishville; Kathy Carlin of Madrid; Howard Marschat III and wife Carla of Russell; Patricia Marschat of Canton; Mary Day of Antwerp and Lisa Marschat of Saranac Lake; a brother Edward and wife Irene Enslow of Ogdensburg; and several grand and great-grandchildren.
She is predeceased by children, Kenny Eells, Rosie Eells and Helen Valance.
Doris was born March 14, 1927 in Pierrepont, the daughter of the late Thomas Shea and Edna Enslow. She attended Pierrepont Schools. Doris was a homemaker. She married Charles Eells, he predeceased her in 1981. She later married Howard Marschat Jr. , he predeceases her as well.
Doris enjoyed puzzles, fishing, checkers, playing cards and traveling.
