Funeral services for Mrs. Doris M. Hubbard, 80, of Canton will be held on Friday, June 20, 2008 at 11:00 at the O'Leary Funeral Home in Canton with Rev. William Hart officiating. Burial in Woodland Cemetery in Fine will follow the service. Mrs. Hubbard passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2008 at the Canton-Potsdam Hospital where she had been admitted late Monday.
Friends may call at the O'Leary Funeral Home on Thursday, June 19, 2008 from 6-8pm. Contributions in her memory may be made to an SPCA of one's choice.
Surviving Mrs. Hubbard are a daughter Bonnie and her husband Bud Weiman of Elm City, NC; a sister Betty Dana of Dekalb; three grandchildren, Gabrielle Field of Canton, Robert Field of Gales Ferry, CT., and Raina Montroy of Jamestown, NY; two great grandchildren, Derek Mueller of Canton and Logan Montroy of Jamestown, NY.
Her husband Lee, two Brothers, Leroy and Gaylord Hall, two sisters, Mabel Despaw and Louise Smith and companion of 20 years, Herbert Cline predecease her.
Born in Russell on December 21, 1927, daughter of the late Stanley and Gladys (Morrow) Hall, she graduated from Knox Memorial High in 1943. She married Lee Hubbard in August of 1953 in Ravanna, Ohio; he predeceased her on October 30, 1979. She worked for Kraft Foods in Canton, Diamond National in Ogdensburg, and Acco Office Supply Manufacturing Plant in Ogdensburg from which she retired in 1990.
Mrs. Hubbard enjoyed Gardening, observing hummingbirds and crocheting. Arrangements are with the O'Leary Funeral Service of Canton.
