Don M. Bush

Don M. Bush, 62, of Canton died peacefully, in his sleep on Wednesday, December 4, 2019.

Don was born December 10, 1956 in Ogdensburg, the son of the late Don H. and Meredith (Adams) Bush. He graduated from Canton High School. Don worked as a mechanic for several years for Schroon Lake Equipment in Gouverneur and retired from Reynolds Manufacturing in Massena where he worked in maintenance. Don was also a farmer, gun collector and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and was an avid outdoorsman and a member of the Birch Brook Hunting Club, but most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren.

Don is survived by two daughters, Marya (Todd) Furnia of Canton; Michelle Bush of Canton, a son, Matthew Bush of Mamaroneck, NY; grandchildren, Alayna, Nolan and Ethan Furnia; Audrey and Christian Hammond and Mikayla and Matthew Bush and a great-grandchild, Lux Perry. Also surviving are two sisters, Terry (Neil) Kenny of Lisbon and Sherry (Randy) Law of Richville and several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was predeceased by a sister, Sheila in 1962.

Calling hours will be held on Saturday, December 7, 2019 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the O'Leary Funeral Home, Canton. Friends and family will be welcome to share stories of Don throughout the evening.
