Funeral mass for Dennis Lee Solon Jr, 31, Appleton, WI and formerly of South Edwards will be held on Saturday, September 10, 2011at 11:00am at St. Mary's Church, Canton with Rev. Doulas Lucia, celebrating. DJ passed away on Friday, September 2, 2011 at his home in Wisconsin.
Friends may call at the O'Leary Funeral Home, Park Street, Canton on Friday, September 9, 2011 from 2-4 and 7-9pm.
DJ was born March 1, 1980 in Ogdensburg, the son of Dennis and Mary (Thompson) Solon. He graduated from Edwards-Knox Central School in 1998. He was in the Marine Corps (Japan) from 1998-2001. After the service he moved to Wisconsin and worked at several different manufacturing jobs. He loved playing basketball, hunting, and working on cars.
DJ is survived by his parents Dennis and Mary of Edwards; a son Shawn Kreilkamp of Appleton, WI; his paternal grandmother Mina Belle Bresett and Leroy; Sisters, Liza and Damian Fink of Okinawa; Crystal Solon and fiancé© Douglas LaPoint of Russell; niece MaKayla Finke and nephew Skyler Finke both of Okinawa.
He is predeceased by his paternal grandfather Lawrence James Solon and by his maternal grandparents, George and Jean Thompson.
